Spring Must-Haves for the Rockstars in Your Life
Posted on 02 April 2018
We had a BLAST shooting our Spring/Summer lookbook this past March, as we usually do. We weren't fortunate enough to have Jon Bon Jovi join us again this time around, but had a great time nonetheless.
There is this great group of kids that we've been working with for quite some time with this amazing energy and chemistry among them that makes me look forward to the photo shoot each and every time!
We worked with a new photographer this time around, Christopher Perino, of Creative Mindset Photography and couldn't be happier with our photos. He has a great energy and the kids loved working with him. It really makes all the difference when you're trying to capture the playful nature of children.
Springtime is all about rebirth and rejuvenation. Time to stop hibernating and get outside and start enjoying some nicer weather. Along with our photo shoot each season we have created a neat little guide for our must-haves every
lil' rockstar should have in their closet this spring.
It's all about the fringe this season and what better way to wear it than with your favorite band or anything music related like the Footloose Hippie Shake Tank that Casey's
THE GRAPHIC TEE
I can't remember exactly when graphic tees became all the rage but I do remember being in the store with my daughters asking me if they can buy a Def Leppard tee shirt. Really? I started telling them all about how I used to listen to Def Leppard in high school all the time. Even though they are bands our kids have never heard of, it can definitely spark conversations about the past and mostly about classic rock history. Nick is wearing our Tom Petty tee this season and what a great story this can be to tell.
Can be worn with anything!!! It's a unisex look that could be paired with skinny jeans or your favorite sweats for a boy. Girls have the option of adding some flare to their graphic tee with a favorite tutu - ultimate rocker style!! In addition to our band tees by Rowdy Sprout, Appaman and Yporque have some great designs this spring.
The eighties look has become a phenomenon this season. Being someone that grew up in this era, I can't help but become nostalgic with all of the new spring styles. It was the reason we added the old school roller skates to our shoot. The theme was "Dancing on the Edge of the Sky" and why not with roller skates! I remember some fun times in the roller rink as a teenager.
We have some great off the shoulder looks for girls, as well as track shorts and jackets with patches. Cut off sweats for boys definitely complete any look along with a Footloose Tee this season - classic eighties flick. Take a look at the entire new collection to incorporate everything eighties this spring.
DENIM THAT'S JUST RIGHT
Although we try to fight it and buy denim without the rips for ourselves and our kids, it's just not possible. There is nothing like a cool pair of ripped denim jeans or shorts that can complete any look. We know all about kids wanting to be comfortable in everything they wear and that's why we have the softest denim. Our
POP OF COLOR
In line with the eighties
Keep punching my card
Eight hours, for what?
Oh, tell me what I got
I get this feeling
That time's just holding me down
I'll hit the ceiling
Or else I'll tear up this town
Tonight I gotta cut
Kick off your Sunday shoes
Jack, get back
C'mon before we crack
Lose your blues
Everybody cut Footloose
