Back to School Round Up - Girls Edition

"May you grow up to be righteous, may you grow up to be true, may you always know the truth and see the lights surrounding you. May you always be courageous, stand upright and be strong, May you stay forever young, Forever Young." 'Forever Young...Bob Dylan'
It's crazy how everyone says 'they grow up so fast, so enjoy it while they are young'. And in those first months home from the hospital you wonder how fast because all those sleepless nights seem to last forever, and yet the days do seem to go so fast. One moment you are wondering what their voice will sound like and then in the blink of an eye they are talking in paragraphs and asking for the iPad.
In just a few short weeks, my only daughter will be starting Nursery. I am inundated with so many emotions. My head and my heart is filled with happiness, so much happiness that my three year old will be starting this journey on the road to learning so so much, more than she could have ever dreamed of. Excited that she will be making friends, friends that may come and go and if she is lucky some friends that may shape her life forever. I worry because she has food allergies and since her school is not a nut free school, I fear that somehow something terrible may happen. She has never been in an environment that a family member wasn't around. The one thing I'm not really worried about is whether she will enjoy it or not, because I know she will love being around other kids her age. I guess selfishly I fear that she won't drop a tear when I walk away even though I am about to cry writing this right now. Most of all I am proud... Proud of the amazing little girl she has already become, proud of how smart she already is. Proud of how she shares her toys and loves taking care of little babies. I cannot wait to see what her dreams may be and what she will become, I hope that she knows all along the way that I will be there to support and nurture those dreams.
Along with all these emotions I am so excited to start some back to school traditions with her. Her first day of school outfit (with photos of course), mommy and me lunch after that first day is over and a special surprise waiting for her when she gets home. I still haven't picked out what she will wear that first day and even though she is going to a Catholic school that just told me she has to wear a uniform (which I feel is ridiculous since she will be in nursery) she will not be wearing it that first day and I may try to get away with her not wearing it at all, all year long (since they did implant this rule for nursery students just this year). With that being said here are my choices below for the different outfits I am thinking of. Let me know which one you guys like the most!
